Concept: This was on exploration of processes, finishes and form that took inspiration from the sharp linear forms of knives and the natural curves of the hasta leaf. Heat patinas and chemical patinas were applied to the copper to achieve strong coloration. Folding and hammering techniques were used to achieve the forms. Hemp string was used for the wrap to add a natural contrasting texture. The first prototypes were candle lit surface pieces, the final two sconces were electric and wall mounted.
